Colour Day Celebration

It was a rainbow of joy and fun in our school on Friday as we celebrated Colour Day! This special event turned our classrooms into a dazzling display of reds, blues, yellows, and greens, with pupils and teachers alike joining in the excitement.

The day kicked off with a parade around the schoolyard. Children from our beginner and kindergarten classes strutted proudly in their brightest outfits, some wore sunny yellow shirts, others twirled in emerald skirts, and a few even painted their faces with cheerful stripes! Teachers, not to be outdone, sported colorful hats and scarves, leading the little ones in songs about rainbows and sunshine.

In class, the fun continued with hands-on activities. The children dipped their fingers in paint to create vivid murals, sorted colourful beads for math games, and listened to stories about how colours brighten the world. The highlight was the Colour Dance Party with music filling the air, pupils twirled and jumped, their laughter blending with the beat.

Colour Day wasn’t just about fun, it taught our young learners to appreciate diversity and creativity, all while making memories. As School Director, Pastor Mrs. Oseni noted, “Seeing their smiles reminds us why we do this. It’s a day of learning through joy.” At LanKem Schools, we’re proud to paint every day with love and discovery. The Colour Day was just the brightest stroke yet!
